Thursday and Friday
August 16 & 17 2007

9am-5pm

Heart of the Shepherd 3rd Annual Barn Sale

Thursday and Friday August 16 & 17 2007 9am-5pm

All proceeds to benefit Christian Care fund which supports families in need right here in Livingston County

Would you like to volunteer?  We need help Tues and Wed August 14-15 setting up tables and moving things around.  Please come and help for 30 minutes or all day, whatever time you have to share.  Muscles not a requirement, but helpful!

Thursday and Friday we can use help running the sale.  Please stop by!

Contact Kristy Placido or Pat Spalding for more information or if you’d like to volunteer.

Would you like to donate items for the sale?  We have already established a reputation of having a nice sale with quality items.  We’d love it if you would clean a few things out of your closets to donate!

We have a few requests which will help make our sale a success...

  • Please make sure all items are clean, unbroken and in useable condition.

  • WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
large appliances, exercise equipment, carseats, computer equipment, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, mattresses, reference books (encyclopedias), luggage, or clothing (unless it is on a hanger and in good condition—clothing for babies and small children is ok to donate with no hanger).

  • We would rather not accept clothing unless it is ON A HANGER, free of wrinkles, clean, and in very nice condition.  Clothing is difficult to sell, so please be selective.  Children’s and baby clothing does NOT need a hanger.

  • Please no computers, printers, monitors, fax machines, televisions or copiers.  The reason for this is that we will have to PAY to recycle it if it does not sell.  Please consider recycling your computer items at Recycle Livingston located at 170 Catrell Street in Howell (behind Grundy’s).  They do charge for this service.

  • Encyclopedias and reference books are very difficult to sell.  Please try to recycle them (you can recycle books for free at Recycle Livingston).

Some items we will happily accept:

  • Artwork
  • Baby accessories and gear
  • Bed sheets, pillowcases, quilts, blankets, etc.  If you would like to be extra kind to us, please label the bed size that the items fit!
  • Books for children and adults
  • Clocks
  • Clothing for babies and small children
  • Costume Jewelry
  • Decorative items
  • Dishware and cookware
  • Furniture (we will not be able to pick up your furniture...if you are unable to deliver it to us, please contact the Salvation Army and donate it to them.  They will pick up.)

  • Halloween costumes
  • Holiday decor
  • Picture frames
  • Small appliances in good condition
  • Tools
  • Toys that have all parts and are not broken
  • UNOPENED products (preferably purchased during the present millennium) from Bath and Body, Body Shop, AVON, etc.
  • Videos and DVDs
