Through this ministry our church offers the community a high quality, Christian center operating from 6:30 am to 6:00pm daily for infants through school-aged children.  The program includes full time or part time infant, toddler, and preschool-aged care as well as a before and after school program for school-aged children to meet the needs of working parents in Livingston county and the surrounding areas. 

Heart of the Shepherd Child Development Center strives to provide the entire family a place they feel welcome, safe and appreciated.  We view your child's development as a partnership between home and school.  Parents are encouraged to spend time in the child’s classroom engaged in an activity or talking with the teachers to keep the lines of communication open. 

The management of children should never come before the development of the child. Our classrooms and play yards were designed with children in mind first.  Child-sized chairs, tables, shelves, toilets and sinks allow for children to independently use the space gaining knowledge and confidence in the world around them.  Each classroom has direct access to a large, natural play yard that becomes an extension of the classroom and allows for more self-discovery and exploration.
