Community Outreach

Do all the good you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can.

Community Outreach is all about showing the love of Christ to those around us. At Heart of the Shepherd, we believe there are many ways to reach out and truly impact our community. We believe that each of us is called to participate in the outreach ministry of Jesus Christ by supporting local community and worldwide programs. The following are organizations and programs our congregation actively donates their time, talents and treasures to. Please click on the link for more information.

	Family Impact Center		A food pantry and so much more - committed to helping families in need.

	LACASA		Working to end domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

	Love, INC		Churches sharing resources and transforming lives.

	Pregnancy Help Clinic		A place to go when you have questions or need help.

	Lutheran World Relief		Fight poverty and promote a more just and peaceful world by helping people help themselves.

Family Impact Center

Our goal is to provide 500 items each month from the following list:

♥ Mac & Cheese

♥ Rice or Pasta sides

♥ Helpers (Burger/Tuna/Chicken)

Donations of other foods, personal care, paper or cleaning products are accepted as well as new or gently used baby, youth or teen clothing. Donations can be dropped off in the basket by the outside doors in the Gathering Room.

Please bring in your extra sheets of coupons (the ones found in the Sunday papers). These can be put in the Coupon Box in the hallway cabinet near the Childcare wing.

Items are taken weekly to the Impact Center.

Pregnancy Help Clinic

Accepting donations:

Disposal Diapers (any size)

Infant formula (any kind)

Items can be placed in the bassinet

by the church office door. Donations are taken to the Pregnancy Help

Clinic monthly or as needed.

LACASA

Accepting donations of used

Strings of Christmas lights.

These are collected in the LACASA Christmas Light Donation box in the Gathering Room during the Christmas holiday season.
