Carol Craigie

Infant Head Teacher

 

Carol is a mother of 4 and grandmother of 4.  She has been working in the childcare field for over 20 years.  Carol started working in our Toddler/Twos room in August 2006 and transitioned to the infant room Fall 2009.  Her previous work experience includes working with Head Start as well as Mercy Childcare Center in Grayling and Teddy Bears in Brighton.  She has also spent time working one-on-one with children and their families as a nanny.  She has completed college course work as well as taken extensive training in Infant/Toddler development; completing the specialized training series the Livingston County 4C offers.  Her teaching style allows children to learn at their own pace and encourages them to gain self-help skills and independence as they make the transition from infancy to toddler hood.

Susan Dickinson

Infant Head Teacher

 

Susan has a B.A. in Elementary Education as well as specialized training in infant/toddler development.  She comes to this position with over 20 total years of experience having been a director of a child care center as well as owned and operated her own family child care.  She is a member of Heart of the Shepherd.  Susan is also mother of 3 boys.  Through her years of experience as both a parent and educator, Susan has gained much knowledge and insight about children and their development.  Susan prides herself in her ability to provide infants with warm, loving, nurturing care and knows how important it is to work with families to create an environment at the Center that reflects parent’s goals and hopes for their children.

Bonney Elzerman

Afternoon Infant Teacher

 

Bonney has a B.A. in Anthropology & Comparative Religion as well as an Associates Degree in Child Development.  Bonney has completed extensive training in infant/toddler development and her previous work experience includes partnering with parents while working in Philadelphia for 2 years in a parenting program.  She also worked in the Infant/Toddler program at Kid’s Corner in Williamston before it closed.  Bonney joined our teaching staff in September 2006.  Bonney’s favorite part of working with children is watching them grow. She enjoys watching their minds work when they see and try new things.  Bonney allows children to learn at their own pace.  Her teaching style includes providing opportunities for sensory exploration as well as encouraging children to try new things in a safe, nurturing environment with love.

Jeannie Hogan

Infant Room Teacher

 

Jeannie started working at HOTS CDC in August 2006 after working close to 15 years in the infant room at Kid’s Corner in Williamston.  She attended LCC and completed college coursework to obtain her Child Development Associate.  She is the mother of 2 daughters and is a very proud grandmother as well.  She combines her practical experience with her knowledge and training in infant/toddler development to provide a warm, nurturing environment for the children in the infant classroom.  To Jeannie the best part of teaching is watching the children grow and interact with one another.
