♥  Sarah Smith - Head Teacher

Sarah Smith

Toddler Head Teacher

Sarah has a B.A. in Child Development from Central Michigan University.  Sarah has been working in the Early Care & Education field for 7 years.  Before joining our staff in August of 2006, Sarah taught at the nationally known child care company, Bright Horizons Children Centers, in Ypsilanti in the young preschool room.  Sarah has a daughter in toddler program and another little one due Spring 2009.  Sarah enjoys working with children because it guarantees there will be a smile on her face throughout the day.  She strives to teach children through interest based learning.  Her strengths include helping the children work on social interaction with each other through parallel play and language development.  Much of her focus is on helping children gain independence and self-help skills to promote positive self-esteem and prepare them for the next phase of their development.
