I grew up in Detroit but have been in Howell/Brighton for the past 35 years.

My secular education was at the U of M, Lawrence Institute of Technology, where I  specialized in engineering courses.  Unknown to me, my Christian education began when I was baptized as an infant.  I was confirmed at Redford Lutheran in Detroit and continued to grow in my faith as I attended and taught a variety of Bible studies throughout the years.

At Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church in Howell and Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Brighton my church involvement included serving on the Family Life Ministry Board, Discipleship Team (Elder), being an usher, teaching confirmation and Sunday School classes, as well as serving as an adult Bible study leader. 

After 36 years in manufacturing, I entered the Deacon training program knowing that life is totally in God’s hands and I want to give back to Him.  Now that I am retired I am able to devote more time to serving those God has placed in my life and in whose lives He has placed me.

I especially enjoy Bible studies for teen and adults.  How we pass on our faith and live the life in response to all Christ has done for us is the message I love discussing.  Besides serving as a Deacon and a Discipleship Team Leader, I participate in the Camping Group, JOY (Jesus’ Older Youth) Fellowship group, and as a Prayer Partner.
