 Hey, Church, are we up to the Acts 1:8 Challenge? It’s our Lord’s kingdom assignment to His church...including His church here in this place. Every Christian and every Christian church must embrace Jesus’ local-global challenge if we are to be used by God effectively in advancing His kingdom.
During the four weeks of July, 2010, we encourage all God’s people to engage…to immerse themselves in the VISION OF MISSION at HOTS as we unpack together our Lord’s Acts 1:8 Challenge and examine what it means to be a missional church for our Lord and His kingdom. Our weekly worship services, our Sunday morning Bible Classes, and TLC (Tender-Loving-Care) Groups for the month of July will all have a mission flavor to them, allowing the Great Physician to perform open-heart surgery on us so that our heart pumps the missional fluid of our Good Shepherd throughout His Body of Believers here in this place.

Holy Spirit, empower us to embrace our Lord’s Acts 1:8 Challenge so that we will be His bold witnesses in our Jerusalem (to our FRAANS), and in all Judea (to our community) and Samaria (to those different than us), and to the ends of the earth (to plant your church wherever you lead us). Amen. |

May the Shepherd’s Heart of love and compassion empowers our hearts and lives and church for Christlike, loving action, as we GO - with passionate, Spirit-given power – AND MAKE DISCIPLES by boldly speaking, living, and loving God’s Word into the hearts and lives of others.
