Epiphany  - The word means "manifestation" or “to make known.”  It is during this Epiphany Season of the Church Year that we see Jesus manifest or show Himself to be the Christ…the Chosen One…the Messiah.  Through our messages we will see how the Lord of the Church uses PRAYER to equip and empower His Body of Believers to carry on His work of salvation.  

It’s true that the health and effectiveness of Christ’s church in carrying out His mission, is directly related to the PRAYER LIFE of God’s people.  That’s why we have as our church’s first Core Value Being a Bible-Based PRAYING Church, and that’s why we begin this New Year 2011 with a series designed TO STRENGTHEN OUR PRAYER LIFE.  

Along with God’s Word, we will use Philip Yancey’s book PRAYER – Does It Make a Difference?  (CLICK HERE to purchase from Amazon) as we explore the following topics below during our 6:30pm Wednesday and 8am/10:30am Sunday worship services.  The message for the Wednesday service will be a DVD-Discussion based format with Sunday being a biblical exploration and summary of that week’s topic – You’re encouraged to take advantage of both.

May God bless our focus on PRAYER and strengthen our prayer life as He equips and empowers us to be more effective in carrying on His mission of salvation.
