A Heart 2 Heart Talk with Our Lord of Life

Now that we have heard what God’s Word says about Reaching Beyond Our Walls with the love of our Lord, we need to personally evaluate our role as His dedicated servants and faithful stewards in His church.  To help us take an inventory of our role in our Lord’s church, we will have a number of Heart 2 Heart Talks with Our Lord of Life during this last month of the church year (the new church year begins the weekend of November 27 with the First Sunday in Advent).

God’s Word tells us that we have been "created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10).  Together we'll learn how God not only prepares the work we are to do, but blesses and equips us, His faithful stewards, to do that work.  It is our prayer that each of us will be overwhelmed again and again at the grace of God and how He has created and saved us, forgives and  strengthens us, and empowers and blesses us with the resources to be the Lord of the Church’s dedicated servants and faithful stewards.

Our Commitment Week is Wednesday/Sunday, November 23/27, 2011, when God’s people prayerfully and joyfully respond with their commitment to support the mission and ministry of Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Please make every effort to attend this series of Heart 2 Heart Talks with Our Lord of Life and prayerfully consider your privileges and responsibilities as God's faithful steward.
