2011: "Peace on Earth" PDF Print E-mail

On Christmas morning, a chorus of angels sang out, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests!”

  (Luke 2:14)

The angels announced peace at Jesus’ birth, but how many of us actually live with God’s peace in our hearts?  Especially during the hectic holiday season, we easily forget about God’s promise of peace, or else we simply do not experience it.

This Advent season, we will pause to reflect on the gift of God’s peace.  What does it mean for us and how can we participate with God in bringing peace to our world?  Join us as we ask God to give us peace and discover how we can live at peace with God and others.

“For unto us a child is born… and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

(Isaiah 9:6)
