WOW – WOW (Whatever On Wednesdays) is a weekly outreach event targeted to reach 6-12 graders with the saving message of Jesus Christ. WOW features youth led ministry teams that provide the music, technology, skits, concessions, and exciting atmosphere which makes WOW an awesome evening of Christ-centered fellowship and outreach. Be a part of a WOW Ministry Team: Music Team: The music team for WOW features youth of all ages. This team’s responsibility is to rehearse once a week before leading worship at WOW. The goal of this team is to use their God-given musical talents to point others to Jesus Christ through worship. The music team cycles through the band members almost every week to give those who are ready a chance to lead worship, as well as give other band members a week off from time-to-time. Interested in being a part of the WOW music team? Email Max Brennan at max@hotshepherd.org or Steve Schuknecht at sschuknecht@sbcglobal.net
Greeting Team: The Greeting Team plays a crucial role at WOW. Not only are Greeting Team members vital in order for a strong first impression on all youth as they enter the doorway, they are also responsible for one of WOW’s biggest draws: weekly raffles! Every week we raffle off prizes that anyone can win at WOW. The Greeting Team is responsible for registering youth as they enter in order to make raffle’s possible. Interested in joining the Greeting Team? Email Max Brennan at max@hotshepherd.org or Debbie Mannisto at Mannisto.mark@sbcglobal.net
Tech Team: The tech team’s role at WOW is very diverse and incredibly important. The Tech Team handles jobs such as creating and running the PowerPoints, capturing live footage on video for WOW, running sound checks, and basically any other tech component. The Tech Team is what gives WOW its “Event” feel. Interested in joining the Tech Team? Email Max Brennan at max@hotshepherd.org or Matt Dickinson at matteojack100@gmail.com
Drama Team: If you’re interested in any form of acting, or just being goofy in front of people, the Drama Team might just be your thing. This team creates hilarious skits to go along with each week’s topic. The goal of this team is to bring some comedic relief to WOW, this allows everyone to loosen up by laughing and recognizing that church can not only be fun, but also funny. Interested in joining the Drama Team? Contact Max Brennan at max@hotshepherd.org or Tim Johnson at hiptimtoo@hotmail.com
Concession Team: The concession team provides one of the most necessary elements to the WOW experience: Food. And not just food, in addition to pizza slices, popcorn, and other items, we will be offering various smoothie recipes as well. The Concession Team is responsible for providing the food as well as managing the money and taking inventory. All funds from our concessions will go towards future renovations to the Barn. Interested in joining the Concession Team? Email Denise Rutkowski at denisechef@yahoo.com or Max Brennan at max@hotshepherd.org.
